When programming Alligator TPMS sensors, techs have the option of cloning the original sensors. If the OEM part is cloned, then a relearn isn’t necessary.
To clone using the Alligator TPMS tool, select Copy ID in the Program Sensor menu.

If the OEM part’s battery is exhausted, then it can still be cloned by entering the sensor ID into the tool using the Manual ID menu.

When cloning OE sensors, be careful to not use the same ID number twice (duplicate ID), which will cause the TPMS warning light to come on after driving. Another thing to watch out for is the ID format – hexadecimal or decimal; hex contains letters, while decimal does not.
