Kia Amanti TPMS Coverage Now Available on Alligator Sens.it RS-series Sensors

Alligator sens.it RS & RS+ universal TPMS sensors now cover Kia Amanti vehicles with LF-learning systems (2007-09).

The vehicles are unique as early Kia models only supported OBD-learning (manual registration of new sensor IDs via scan tool connected to the diagnostic port) and only had a low-tire warning light. The Amanti has a midline TPMS system (dash display shows which tire has low pressure) and also has an early form of TPMS automatic learning – LF initiators in each wheel well trigger the sensors in a specific way, so the system can automatically recognize new sensor IDs.

If no scan tool is available for manual sensor ID registration, then simply drive the vehicle for long enough to finish the learning process (typically takes several minutes) or until the TPMS warning light clears. Sensors that have an auto-learning feature are especially helpful for DIYers that install wheels themselves but don’t have access to a special tool for new sensor ID registration and for wheel shops that rely on the end-users to handle the TPMS learning process.

Shops that stock Alligator sens.it sensors are utilizing user-friendly TPMS units which make the techs’ jobs easier, reduces unnecessary downtime in the bays for TPMS learning or sensor issues, helps the business’ bottom line, and keeps its customers happy and coming back. Wegmann will continue to add value to the RS series TPMS sensors from Alligator by adding coverage for different vehicle applications so that the product never goes obsolete.

When replacing OEM sensors with aftermarket units, rest assured that RS series TPMS sensors from Alligator will provide all the functionality the vehicle delivers!

Regardless of the tool that’s used to program the sensors, this vehicle should be available for programming after completing the latest update.
